El Hadj Noumoucounda

Virtuoso and genius of the Kora, he is better known under the pseudo El Hadji CISSOKO and is issued from a famous family of griots (outstanding musicians and singers).

He was very young when he amazed and surprised all his circle by his vocal qualities.
Through times, he meets and shares the stage and studio sessions with the tenors of world music such as Salif KEITA, Alpha BLONDY, MC Solaar, Kymani MARLEY, etc…
Kora player, percussionnist and lead vocal, holder of a diploma from the Conservatoire of Dakar in Music and Drama, El Hadji Noumoucounda Cissoko is a perfectionnist, engaged and endowed with and extraordinary sens of improvisation and adaptation.

The international tours of this great artist gave him the opportunity to participate in several artistic events along with other world renowned artists such as: Youssou Ndour, Kymani Marley (Bob Marley’s son), Ira Colman (Herbie Hancock’s bassist), Ernest Ranglin, Alpha Blondy, Omar Pene, Red Rats, Princesse Erika, Lara Fabian and MC Solaar.

His mastery of the rythm and the melody make him one of the most gifted musicians of his generation.
