Before the 2010 Fifa World Cup took off, Newtown was touted as the place to be, and from the festivities that have been taking place, Johannesburg’s cultural hub is living up to its billing.

At the Bassline, an iconic Joburg venue, most gigs have coincided with key football games.

Tonight, July 7th, for the Germany vs Spain match Africa Unsigned artist Victor Kunonga, Dudu Manhenga and Adam Chivso all from Zimbabwe will perform as well as Ghanaian singer Ago.
