Aly Diallo was born on 25 October 1958 in the town of Saint Louis, in a region rocked by the river where he will spend a happy childhood, between family, coranic school and french school.
It is when his family leaves the serenity of Saint-Louis to settle in Dakar, the capital that his strong taste for the Arts since childhood can blossom. At the college of the sacré-cœur, where he pursues his secondary studies, he is the star of his class and sings well known rythm‘n blues melodies adding the steps and gestures during all the cultural events. Encouraged by his lecturer, his musical experiences increase and from one band to another, his talent emerges. With musicians from various horizons, he puts together a band named TAALIF. For ten years, he animates pubs, concerts, night club, hotels. And when he reaches 30 years, he gets the opportunity to broaden his artistic horizons and to improve his musical knowledge in France.
In June 1989, Ali arrives in France, under the spell of Angoulême for a first date to the Festival of Musique Métisse (crossed music). He is very impressed by the sound system equipment and the lighting. In Lille, the following phase, he has a calender of 22 dates; sign of destiny, it is there that he later will start a family. Ali goes back to study : He studies at the Conservatoire in Lille to perfect his voice, he also works in social centres, supervises children in difficult situation and thoses from poor quarters. He works with the stage director, ROLLAND DEPOW in the company « TOLLI TOLLI » (fable, fable in one of the dialect from Cameroun). With its tours, he adds to his theatrical experience by supervising children. The musical passion of the group TAALIF and the social action go hand in hand. Ali composes and stays close to children and animates a home studio (Studio « Taalif ».
In 2002, like a call from all the children he worked with, he is retained after an interview with PLAN INTERNATIONAL. He returns to Senegal, in his country, on his continent, where since then he lives and works, still with children and in the music. He travels across the 12 countries partners of the PLAN, all year round involved in current projects for his great joy, him who’s dream was to contribute to the development of his continent. Despite the work with Plan and the many travels, he sometimes finds time to do jam sessions with some bands of the place, he is always welcomed with joy in particular by the Jazz musicians, a music that he reveres before any, a musique which combines riguor and freedom, schooling of humility.
In 2006 with his colleague and friend Abdoul Aziz Dieng, he started a new adventure and sets up ACCENTS MULTIPLES (MULTIPLE ACCENTS), an organisation of cutural engineering and mediation oriented on development.
