Gunman Xuman, Founder and member of the group Pee Froiss, enters music at the beginning of the 90s, freshly arrived from his native Côte d’Ivoire after 6 years in the underground world, in 96 he creates with his group one of the first album of Senegalese hip hop untitled “wala wala bok”, produced by the pioneers of the movement, Awadi and Doug E Tee of PBS (Positive Black Soul). Since then, Pee Froiss travels Africa and the world, thanks to Mamadou Konté who signed them on his label « Afrika fête » and produced their international album “konkérants” released in Europe under the label « night and day ».
As an Independent artist, despite his connection to the group, Xuman takes part in a number of local and international projects and diversify his activities . He’s a very active player, he proves to be versatile and throws himself in the organization of concerts and reggae events such as the concert in memory of Bob Marley.
Since 2001, every 11 may of each year, he presents a reggae show on the 2nd channel of Senegalese television (2stv). In 2000, he animates a hip hop programme on the radio channel “Walf Fadjri” which he leaves in 2005 for “Ocean fm”. He collaborates as well with NGOs such as Plan International to defend the rights of children with the project A.U.R.A. – Artistes Unis pour le Rap African (United Artists for African Rap).
In 2007, he releases his first solo album “Gunman” which gathers a compilation of all his musical influences (hip hop /reggae/dance hall), he wins the hit of the year 2008 and goes on tour in France and Germany. Xuman is first of all a performer who shares his passion with his public.
